The medieval village of Eze is perched high on a hill above the French Riviera in south-east Provence from where it has lovely views along the coast and out across the sea.

Eze is one of the most beautiful villages in France and an unmissable highlight of a visit to south-east France. Due to the charm of the village, its tropical garden, and its proximity to the major resorts of the Riviera such as Nice, it is true that Eze attracts a lot of visitors and can get quite crowded but that does not detract from the pleasure of a visit.

The whole medieval village is pedestrianised so you will need to park in the car park below. Next to the car park you can also find the Eze tourist office. The tourist guide has a useful map to help you explore and with information about the monuments to look out for in the village.

Fragonard Perfume Factory
Established in 1926, the factory was orginally a tannery in the 18th century. Completely renovated and enhanced in 2013, it offers an original journey of discovery of the mysteries of traditional perfumery, from the treatment of raw materials to the packaging of finished products. The machines used offer historical, social and cultural interest in the techniques and working conditions governing family perfumeries until the 1950s.

A visit to the perfume museum installed in these premises allows you to explore the world of perfume from Antiquity to the present day where you can see precious objects of perfumery (Egyptian make-up spoons, medieval pomanders, etc.)

PRIVATE APPRENTICE PERFUMER WORKSHOP FOR TWO PEOPLE:
Become an apprentice Perfumer by personalizing your own cologne. An unforgettable, fun and captivating sensory experience centered on the creation of a scent. You will discover how a Perfumer, or ‘nose’ masters the art of fragrance creation whilst learning about the history of perfume.

The session, led by a perfume professional, takes place in the Perfumer’s Workshop at the Fragonard factory in Eze.

At the end of this workshop, you will leave with your creation in an elegant personalized 100ml bottle and pouch, a diploma signed by the teacher.
